Platelet-rich plasma is prepared from your blood. How it is used matters: a PRP treatment and microneedling with PRP are not the same procedure. Your consultation is the place to discuss the proposed method, the evidence for your concern and the alternatives.
What can PRP skin rejuvenation help with?
Ask what PRP would add to your plan
Tell us what you hope to improve and what you have already tried. Ask how progress would be assessed and whether another approach might fit your priorities better. A treatment plan should give you a reason for each visit.
The prices here describe skin treatments. PRP for the scalp is a separately listed service at $600 per session. Contact the practice to discuss suitability and the appropriate appointment for hair concerns.
Get the details before the visit
PRP involves a blood draw. The method of treatment affects the experience, recovery and risks. Discuss bruising, discomfort and any questions about preparation with Dr. Patel.
Bring your medical and medication history to the consultation. Follow the instructions for the actual procedure you choose, including when to restart skincare and how to contact the practice afterward.

Compare current packagesQuestions worth asking
Is PRP the same as a vampire facial?
That nickname is used loosely for different PRP-based treatments. Ask exactly how PRP will be prepared and used, and whether microneedling is included. The procedure and price should be clear before you decide.
Does using my own blood make it risk-free?
No. Preparation, handling and the treatment method matter. Ask about the expected benefits, possible complications and alternatives for the specific procedure being recommended.
Is microneedling with PRP an approved device use?
The FDA has not approved microneedling devices to deliver PRP into the skin. Discuss the proposed use and evidence with Dr. Patel; device authorization alone is not approval of a combination.
Do I have to buy three sessions?
No universal course is set here. We discuss the number and spacing of visits around your goals and response, including when to reassess before continuing.
