Microneedling
Microneedling at Millennium
Microneedling uses small needles to create controlled punctures in the skin. It is used to improve the appearance of concerns such as acne scars and fine lines. Whether it is a good choice depends on your skin and the specific concern you want to address.
What can Microneedling help with?
Choose a treatment for the skin you have now
Bring details of active breakouts, sensitive areas, previous procedures and the products you use. Dr. Patel can discuss standard microneedling alongside other options and explain why a particular plan may fit.
Standard microneedling and RF microneedling are distinct procedures. RF adds energy and has its own risks. Be clear about which treatment you are considering rather than assuming every needling device works the same way.
Allow your skin time to settle
Redness, tenderness or peeling can occur after microneedling. Ask about expected recovery and when to resume makeup, exercise and active skincare products. Infection and pigment changes are among the possible risks to discuss.
If you're planning for an event, allow time to assess suitability and recovery. Choose timing after that conversation, rather than assuming treatment immediately before an occasion is a good fit.

Compare current packagesQuestions worth asking
Can microneedling help acne scars?
It is one option for some acne scars. The type of scar matters, and a different treatment or combination may be more appropriate. An assessment comes before a course recommendation.
Does adding PRP mean the treatment is FDA-approved?
No. FDA authorization of a microneedling device does not establish approval of its use to deliver PRP or other products into the skin. Discuss the proposed use, evidence, alternatives and risks with Dr. Patel.
Will I see a change after one session?
Response and timing vary. Ask what improvement is realistic and when to assess progress. Some concerns need a course of treatment, with time between visits to assess the response.
What if microneedling isn't suitable for me?
The consultation is still useful. You can discuss other options or a reason to postpone treatment. You do not need to purchase a procedure to make the visit worthwhile.
