    Acne scars

Let your skin tell a different story.

Breakouts may be behind you, but the texture they leave can linger. Explore laser resurfacing and microneedling to soften the appearance of acne scars, with a plan shaped around your skin.

    Understanding acne scars

A flat dark mark and a change in the skin's texture need different conversations. Acne scars can be depressed or raised, and several patterns can occur together. The aim is meaningful improvement, with realistic expectations about what treatment can change.

    What do you notice most?

Tell Dr. Patel whether it is the color, the texture, or both. Share any previous treatments and whether you still have breakouts. Active acne may need attention before a scar-focused plan begins.

If your main concern is a flat mark left after a breakout, start with our dark spots guide as well. Choosing the right category helps you compare useful options rather than buy a procedure by name.

Give the plan a clear goal

Discuss the scar patterns that bother you, the improvement that is realistic and when progress should be reassessed. Consistent photographs can help you compare changes over time.

Ask about recovery and total course cost before choosing between laser and microneedling. Some scar types need a different approach or specialist care; a consultation can help identify that too.

    Questions worth asking

    Can scars disappear completely?

Treatment can improve the appearance of scars, but complete removal is not a reasonable promise. Ask what degree of change is realistic for the particular scars you have.

Which treatment is best for acne scars?

There is no single best procedure for every scar. Shape, depth, skin tone, healing history and active acne affect the choice. A plan may use more than one approach or recommend referral.

    Why do the prices differ?

The procedures, area and recovery are different. Standard microneedling is listed at $400; Era and fractional scar treatment are $1,000 per session, with a three-session offer at $2,000 when appropriate. The full recommendation comes after assessment.

What should I bring to the consultation?

Bring your questions, a list of current products and details of previous acne or scar treatments. If you have a particular event or budget in mind, tell us so we can discuss a practical plan.
