Era resurfacing
Aerolase Era erbium resurfacing at Millennium
Era is an erbium laser used for skin resurfacing. It removes surface tissue in a controlled treatment to address selected lines, texture and scars. Your consultation covers the treatment depth, recovery and plan for your skin.
What can Era resurfacing help with?
Choose the intensity around your skin and your life
Resurfacing is not a single fixed experience. The area and depth of treatment affect recovery and the change you may see. Dr. Patel can explain the proposed approach and compare it with Neo or microneedling.
If you are planning around work, travel or an event, bring the date to your consultation. You should know what the healing period could involve before reserving treatment time.
Know what caring for your skin will involve
Resurfacing requires time for the treated skin to heal. Discuss redness, tenderness, peeling and the aftercare routine for the treatment being recommended. Recovery varies, so we do not promise that you will be camera-ready on a particular day.
Ask when to restart makeup, exercise and active skincare products. Your plan should include sun protection and a way to contact the practice with recovery questions.

Compare current packagesQuestions worth asking
Is Era the same as a chemical peel?
No. Era uses a laser; a chemical peel uses a solution to exfoliate the skin. Both need careful selection and aftercare. The appropriate option depends on your concern and skin history.
Is resurfacing suitable for every skin tone?
The specific approach matters. Skin tone, pigment history and treatment depth affect risk. Discuss these with Dr. Patel; a manufacturer's general description cannot determine whether a particular treatment is right for you.
Does the offer mean I need three sessions?
No. We recommend a course based on clinical suitability and your response. The offer explains the cost if that course is appropriate; it does not determine the number of treatments you should have.
Can resurfacing remove acne scars completely?
Scar treatment aims to improve appearance. It cannot promise to erase scars or restore the skin exactly as it was before acne. Different scar patterns may need different approaches.
What should I ask before buying the package?
Confirm the area covered, expected spacing, recovery, total cost and the applicable expiry, cancellation, transfer and refund terms. The consultation is free, and you can consider the plan before deciding.
